Learn techniques on how to add a zipper and how to sew vinyl into your project.
Finishes at 10" x 12" closed
Supplies needed:
You will need to bring your sewing machine, regular sewing supplies, thread, and fabric.
A zipper foot is handy for this project.
Binding clips
Marking pencil
You will need to have or purchase the required pattern.
The pattern calls for:
Fat quarter for exterior
Fat quarter for lining
2 FQs for pockets
FQ for pocket binding
FQ for cover binding/tab
7/8 yard of 20" wide woven fusible (5/8 yd of 45" wide)
3/8 yard of heavyweight fusible interfacing (Pellon 71F or 72F)
1/2 yard of premium clear vinyl
6 zippers at least 7" long (14" are good)
(Sandy will bring her plastic snaps and snap press tool.)
You are welcome to bring your own lunch or you can bring cash as we usually order in lunch.
Don't forget to bring your mask.
