Sew Together Bag
Small bag with seven inside compartments, three of them zippered.
Learn techniques on how to add tabs to zippers. Learn how to add binding to your project.
Bag finishes at approximately 10" x 5" x 5"
Supplies needed:
You will need to bring your sewing machine, regular sewing supplies, zipper foot, sewing thread, top stitch thread, (there is a lot of top stitching) and fabric. You will need to have or purchase the required pattern.
**(If you wish to make your Sew Together Bag scrappy, consult the cutting page for individual piece measurements.)
The pattern calls for:
1 FQ for exterior
1/2 yard for lining
1/3 yard for pocket lining
1 FQ for binding
1 yard of woven fusible
**1 piece of batting or fusible fleece if quilting the outside piece
1 - 18" zipper
3 - 9" zippers (preferably longer, our 14" zippers work great!)
**Please read the "A word about Embellishments" section of the pattern before class. If you decide to piece, embellish, or quilt the outside, it is more time efficient if you do that before class.
But please DO NOT trim the exterior piece to size yet.
You are welcome to bring your own lunch or you can bring cash as we usually order in lunch.
