Beginning Paper Piecing

Learn how to Foundation Paper Piece.

This is the beginning of the beginning in Foundation Paper Piecing or FPP.
You will need to know how to use your sewing machine. Rotary cutter skills are helpful, but not required as FPP is very scissor friendly.
You will learn what FPP is, why you would want to use it, and what tools are helpful to accomplish this new skill. And, of course, how to do it. You will also learn the Seven Deadly Sins of Paper Piecing.

What to definitely bring:

- Sewing machine in working order

- 50-60 wt. thread

- Size 80/12 or 90/14 needles

- Scissors

- 2 contrasting Fat Quarters

- Post card (The funner the better. 😉)

What to bring if you already have it:
(We will talk about these in class so if you don't have them, we can find out which is right for you, if any.)

- Seam Roller or other seam press
(My favorite is Clover's Point 2 Point Turner)

- Rotary Cutter

- Add-A-Quarter (Plus is better)

15% discount on all class supplies.
You are welcome to bring your own lunch or you can bring cash as we usually order in lunch.
