Hot & Heavy Bag
This is a two-day class. The first class is for cutting and quilting your pieces. The second class is for putting all the pieces together.
Hot & Heavy is a spacious zippered bag that comes in two sizes. It will hold a variety of items or your favorite mini or regular sized iron. Each features a zippered pocket on front and a mesh divider and fabric slip pocket inside.
PRE-CLASS HOMEWORK:
It is VERY helpful to have your coordinating (Fabric C) cut out before class.
Large finishes at 13.25" wide x 9.5" tall x 7" deep
Small finishes at 10.25" wide x 7" tall x 5.5" deep
Supplies needed:
You will need to bring your sewing machine, regular sewing supplies, thread, and fabric.
You will need to have or purchase the required pattern. (PBA306 Hot & Heavy)
Wonder clips
Disappearing marking tool (I recommend Sewline Duo marker)
The pattern calls for: (Small) Large
Fabric A: (5/8 yard) 1 yard - Body, outer pocket
Fabric B: (5/8 yard) 1 yard - Body, outer pocket lining)
Fabric C: (5/8 yard) 1 yard - Bindings, handles, inner back slip pocket
Fusible interfacing : (1/4 yard) 3/8 yard
Mesh Fabric: (3" x 17") 5" x 21"
Fold-over elastic: (1 yard) 1 1/4 yard
Handbag zippers
1" strapping: (2 yards) 2 3/8 yards
Foam Bosal #495S - (1/2 yard) 1 yard - Single sided fusible foam (58" wide)
Bosal #337 - 1/6 yard - Craf-Tex Double sided fusible stabilizer (20" wide)
2 - 1" D-rings
