Sunflowers & Leaves Stencil Art Quilt Class
Leslie will be providing stencils and small brushes for class use.
Required General Supplies:
- Lumiere Fabric Paint Sampler Pack: This is a water-soluble, acrylic paint, easy to use, easy to clean, and meant for fabrics!
- *If you have plastic stencils you love--bring them, but others will be available for your use at class to play and experiment with.
- At least 2-3 different FQ's of Batik fabrics in smaller prints, mottled prints, or even solids. A soft batik print provides more 'texture' to show through after painting.
- Small plastic garbage bag to protect table surface.
- A large fusing mat is excellent to stabilize fabric for painting! {not the slick kind}
- A small 'rag-type' towel for cleaning brush, wiping off paint, or paper towels--a towel that will fit a FQ size piece of fabric is a good size.
- A small glass or plastic jar for water to clean brushes as you switch colors.
- *A Variety of stencil brushes, if you have them, or purchase an inexpensive set at craft shops.
*Stencil Brushes and Stencils will be available for student use at class. A variety of fall leaf shapes and sunflower shapes will be provided.
