Quiltsmart Apple Core
Apple Core is a classic design typically made with all curves, but not with the Zigzag Applique method! No curved piecing, no needle turning!
Only HALF are true apple cores - the other half are from the background blocks! It's pretty amazing!
Fabrics:
At least the amount for wallhanging size
Apple Core background - 1/2 yard (or scraps to total)
Apple Core applique - 1/2 yard (or scraps to total)
Apple Core interfacing pack (apple core pack)
Supplies:
- Machine in good working order, clean with new needle, power cord, foot pedal
- good piecing thread
- open toe foot is helpful for the applique part
- pins
- scissors
- rotary cutter and ruler
- applique pressing sheet (pressing sheet)
- InvisaFil 100wt. thread in coordinating colors (thread pack)
- seam ripper, just in case!
- Small iron and wool mat are helpful
