Quiltsmart Berry Pie
Berry Pie uses grid interfacing and Rob Pete interfacing. No curved piecing, no needle turning!
Gather your scraps for this one and have fun making your pies! Red cherry pie, yellow lemon meringue, or blue blueberry pies are some examples.
Fabrics:
At least the amount for runner
Quiltsmart Rob Pete interfacing - 1 panel
Quiltsmart 2" grid - 1 panel
Half-shapes (pie crust) - 1/4 yard
Pie filling (light) - 1/4 yard (or scraps to total)
Cut (54) 2" squares
Pie filling (dark) - 1/4 yard (or scraps to total)
Cut (54) 2" squares
Background - 1/2 yard
Border - 1/2 yard
Supplies:
- Machine in good working order, clean with new needle, power cord, foot pedal
- good piecing thread
- lightweight thread for applique (EX. Invisifil 100wt)
- pins/clips
- scissors
- rotary cutter and ruler
- applique pressing sheet
- seam ripper, just in case!
- Small iron and wool mat are helpful
