Quiltsmart Glorified 9-Patch (Rob Pete)
Glorified 9-Patch uses Rob Pete interfacing. No curved piecing, no needle turning!
The block background is easy to make and great for scraps. The arcs are all made with the same fabric.
Sandy used a layer cake plus yellow yardage for her sample.
Fabrics:
At least the amount for runner
Quiltsmart Rob Pete interfacing - 1 panel
Cross 9-Patch blocks (darks) - 1/8 yard
Corners 9-Patch blocks (mediums) - 1/4 yard
Half shapes (light) - 1/2 yard
Border rectangles (dark) - 1/2 yard
Supplies:
- Machine in good working order, clean with new needle, power cord, foot pedal
- good piecing thread
- lightweight thread for applique (EX. Invisifil 100wt)
- pins/clips
- scissors
- rotary cutter and ruler
- applique pressing sheet
- seam ripper, just in case!
- Small iron and wool mat are helpful
