Merry Christmas Stockings - Machine Embroidery July 2026
Celebrate Christmas in July with this collection of 10 machine-embroidered Chirstmas stockings!
What to bring:
Embroidery machine in good working order
Hoop with minimum 7.5" x 11" stitching area
Medium Tear Away stabilizer
Temporary adhesive spray (optional)
Removable fabric marking pen (thin tip/ do not use air erasable)
Terial Magic spray
Basic sewing supplies (seam ripper, thread snips or small scissors, quilty clips, etc)
Merry Christmas Stockings machine embroidery design
60 wt bobbin thread, prewound onto your bobbins, if possible; prewound bobbins are also available
Machine embroidery thread in a variety of colors
90/14 Topstitch or Embroidery sewing machine needles
50 wt piecing thread for sewing stocking
Fabric requirements per stocking:
1/2 yard background fabric for stocking front and back
1/2 yard lining fabric for front and back lining
12" X 18" cuff fabric per stocking (tonal or solid if embroidering a name on it)
3/4 yard fusible woven interfacing
7" grosgrain ribbon 1/4" for hanging stocking
Mylar (optional)
