Hometown Holiday Patchwork Ornaments - Machine Embroidery Class - November 2026

Join us in stitching patchwork-style Christmas ornaments using the Home Town Holiday Patchwork Ornaments by Lori Holt

The Home Town Holiday Patchwork Ornaments set includes 12 unique designs using a combination of freestanding lace (FSL) and freestanding appliqué (FSA) techniques, making them dimensional, detailed, and perfect for trimming the tree or gifting. Designs fit within 4 x 4 and 5 x 7 stitchable areas.

What to bring:

Fabric:
* Applique fabrics of your choice. 10" squares (Layer Cakes) work great!
Cotton fabrics should be prepped BEFORE CLASS with Terial Magic & Fusible Woven (Such as SF-101 Shape Flex). This additional stabilization helps your design to stay flat and even.
* You can also use alternate fabrics for more texture, such as vinyl, felt, wool, cork, or suede.

Tools:
* Embroidery machine in good working order
* Embroidery unit, hoops, and stabilizers
* Tear Away Stabilizer
* Mesh Rinse Away Stabilizer
* 90/14 Topstitch or Embroidery sewing machine needles
* Machine embroidery thread to match your fabrics, such as Hemingworth or Mettler Poly Sheen or Glide.
* Basic sewing supplies (seam ripper, thread snips or small scissors, quilty clips, cleaning brushes, tweezers, etc)

Design:
* Home Town Holiday Patchwork Ornaments machine embroidery design
* Printed instructions -- if you would like for Patty Sue to print a set for you to purchase, let us know at least 72 hours (3 days) before class so that she can have it ready.
