Shawna's Collage Quilting and Thread Painting Class

Collage Quilting and Thread Painting Class
We are so excited you’re joining us and looking forward to some great days with you!

The pheasant photo we will be stitching from was taken by Dave McGee of Great Falls.
$5 of your class fee is going to
him for use of this picture. We’ll talk more about permissions and copyright in the class. This picture is for use only for this class pattern and may not be printed or used for any other purposes.

Our goal is to get done, or nearly done with this piece by the end of the class Saturday.
In preparation for the class, spend some time communing with the pheasant, studying his coloring and sections of color. You will trace him onto the canvas, marking sections for collaging. Colors can be accurate to the picture, or think more abstract and focus on color hues and values. Give him some thought prior to arriving, but don’t stress about fabrics!

We will have ready for you
• Background canvas, painted and prepped
• Prints of the pheasant you need for pattern
